Hwy. 5 Kingsvale to Comstock Hot-in-Place Recycling

This BC MOTI project involved Hot-in-Place asphalt recycling of Hwy. 5 (91.9 lane kms) from Comstock Road to Kingsvale Bridge, 335,600m² Hot-in-Place recycled pavement, 9,300 tonnes of Admix, and 515 tonnes of 120-150 AC with anti-stripping.

Kontur provided Quality Control Services to the Contractor, ARC Asphalt Recycling Ltd., using MOTI Project Specifications. A Construction Environmental Management Plan (“CEMP”), a Sediment Erosion Plan, and a Quality Management Plan based upon a detailed review of the MOTI Standard Specifications (2020) including Amendments and Special Provisions was prepared and executed.

Kontur’s services also included the monitoring of aggregates production control, sampling and testing, construction monitoring, and technical resources including a mobile laboratory testing trailer.
