Great engineering doesn't stop at the job site—it starts with continuous learning
June 5, 2026
As part of our commitment to developing our team and staying at the forefront of geotechnical engineering, Kontur was proud to attend the 32nd Vancouver Geotechnical Society Symposium on June 5, 2026, held at the Paradox Vancouver.
This year's symposium explored Advances in Soil Mechanics, bringing together geotechnical professionals from across the industry to share research, emerging technologies, and real-world applications. The event featured keynote speaker David Reid, Ph.D., CPEng., from Perth, Western Australia, whose expertise offered valuable perspectives on the evolving field of geotechnical engineering. For our team, the symposium was about more than attending presentations. It was an opportunity to exchange ideas with industry peers, strengthen professional connections, and gain practical knowledge that can be applied to the projects we deliver every day. At Kontur, we believe the best solutions come from people who never stop learning. By investing in the growth of our professionals and staying connected with the latest advancements in our industry, we're continually strengthening the expertise and service our clients rely on. We're grateful for the opportunity to participate in another outstanding Vancouver Geotechnical Society Symposium and look forward to putting what we've learned into practice.
